A cool, crisp and clear morning dawned for our departure from Mt Beauty. A big breakfast of rissoles and eggs had us in fine fettle.
We headed north along some back roads before picking up the Murray River Road.
This was a beautiful ride alongside the river. The hills, clear blue skies and lush green valley made this a very spectacular section.
Our lunch and restocking at Corryong also revealed a nail in Dave's rear tyre.
A quick fix with a plug and a puff of air so had him underway again. Check out our You tube channel for a short video.
From Corryong we headed up towards Khancoban to pick up passes for the National Park. The road into Tom Groggin was dry but very narrow and oncoming cars and trucks are always a problem. There are a lot of very fast bikes traveling this road! Mick ate something that didn't agree with him and stopped for a couple of spews along the way. Seems to be all better now.
Collecting wood was an interesting exercise with all the good stuff on the other side of the river. Wading and swimming back and forth provided us with enough wood for Trev to burn at once.
Trev tried his best as a duck whisperer but the bird eluded him.
A top campsite set up, a dip in the river and a large fire topped off a great day.
The temperature is starting fall so bed will not be far away.
