We Are Sailing

Samedog's Spirit of Tasmania bingo card proved to be easy to complete and we we were able to call 'Bingo' before the boat had left the dock in Devonport.
Cascade don't export Cascade Draught so we indulged in our last local beer for quite sometime before retiring early.
As per usual we both had broken sleep on the boat woken by unfamiliar noises, the occasional bit of swell and the lovely purser announcement at 5.50am.
Hillary's position on the vehicle deck was definitely at the pointy end of the boat so we had to wait for the nomads to exit before Hillary set her wheels on terraVictoria.
After a brief but great catch up with some favourites we headed west to Ballarat.
With the towns gradually getting smaller we finally arrived in the quaint little town of Halls Gap. Due to the intermittent rain we opted for a caravan park site tonight. The park is surrounded by mountains and the grounds are full of Kangaroos. Perhaps the Roos thought Dave was going to be with us tonight!
We had a quick beer in the pub whilst studying some maps and brochures and we are all set for some walks, lookouts, waterfalls, dirt roads and hopefully some sunny weather tomorrow.
Night one in the tent tonight. This tent is yet to be named so any suggestions are welcome.
PS - welcome into this world Emily Thirgood!
